Do most people think of names first and then when the baby is born that's the name? My first daughter I had a name picked out and that was it. But with my second daughter, right after she was born, I changed the name we picked. I'm so glad I did too. Now, I'm pregant again (this time it's a boy) and we have a name picked out. I'm not feeling it, but my husband is stuck on it... what to do, what to do?

just remember, you fill out the paper work for the birth certificate, just put what you want and blame it on the pain meds...lol, it worked for me ( my daughter's father was stuck on Mary Beth, our daughter's name is Elizabeth Cheyenne)...(Elizabeth is his mother's middle name, helped it go over a little better...lol)

Depends what you feel like really. We had a girl's name and boy's name picked out, and decided that whichever the right baby was would show up. If it wasn't the right baby for the name, it'd go to someone else. My aunt and uncle couldn't decide on Nicholas or Domenic, so when their son was born, my uncle asked him. He pulled a face at Dominic, so Nicholas he is! Have you picked out a middle name? Maybe your baby wants to be a whoever your husband has picked, but is waiting for you to finish it properly with a middle name?

No need to decide right now. You can surely decide upon your little boy's birth - and you don't even have to decide the moment he is born! I know a couple that couldn't decide and took a day to figure it out. Sometimes when that little bundle is born he just doesn't look like a "David" or whatever you choose!
So don't stress too much. When he's born maybe you will feel it and know what to name him. And maybe your husband won't care anymore at that point and let you take the reigns!
Good luck and congrats! :)

Just wait until the baby is in your arms for the final decision. Have 2 or 3 picked out

You can decide when you see the baby. He may not look like the name your husband is stuck on. Pick out several boy names that you like and when the time comes, you'll know.
God Bless! PS. We chose Matthew and Joshua....

well if you really dont like the name, suggest it for the middle name and try to get the first name both agreed on. You don't want to regret the name later.

i wish my friend had changed her baby's name. there is nothing wrong with alejandra, but she didn't care for it anymore. the problem was, that they already called the unborn child alejandra. her large family and friends. whenshe thought of changing it, she felt it was too late. i tried to tell her it wasn't, but it didn't seem too important to her. i'm going to meet the 5- day old today.
