My local light rock radio station has already started playing Christmas music early this weekend. I heard this song that I really like. It's very upbeat and catchy and kinda sounds like a 1960's Perry Comosong but, I i'm not sure...all I can remember is...

"...He'll have a big fat pack,
upon his back
With lot's of goodies for you and for me
So leave a peppermint stick,
for old St. Nick
hangin' on the Christmas tree...

(something, something, something...)

...And just exactly at 12 O'Clock
he'll be comin' down the chimney, down..."

Thank you so much!!!

Bing Crosby, and later Andy Williams. Here are the lyrics:

Happy Holiday (The Holiday Season)
Happy Holiday
Happy Holiday
While the merry bells keep ringing
May your every wish come true

Happy Holiday
Happy Holiday
May the calendar keep bringing
Happy Holidays to you

It's the holiday season
And Santa Claus is coming back
The Christmas snow is white on the ground
When old Santa gets into town
He'll be coming down the chimney, down
Coming down the chimney, down

It's the holiday season
And Santa Claus has got a toy
For every good girl and good little boy
He's a great big bundle of joy
He'll be coming down the chimney, down
Coming down the chimney, down

He'll have a big fat pack upon his back
And lots of goodies for you and me
So leave a peppermint stick for old St. Nick
Hanging on the Christmas tree

It's the holiday season
With the whoop-de-do and hickory dock
And don't forget to hang up your sock
"Cause just exactly at 12 o'clock
He'll be coming down the chimney
Coming down the chimney
Coming down the chimney, down!

Happy Holiday
Happy Holiday
While the merry bells keep bringing
Happy Holidays to you

Happy Holiday
Happy Holiday
May the calendar keep bringing
Happy Holidays to you
To you
Happy Holiday

The song was first performed by Bing Crosby in the 1942 film Holiday Inn. In the context of the film, the song refers to holidays in general; however, it has come to be associated most commonly with the Christmas season.
The song has been recorded by numerous artists over the years, including Perry Como, Percy Faith, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Peggy Lee, Barry Manilow, Jo Stafford, and Andy Williams (the latter in a medley with Kay Thompson's composition "The Holiday Season").
