Sometimes it seems to me that when there are more pressing issues, the media begins to promote racial division. It also seems to me that we hear more about worthless crap like Britney, Lindsay and Paris. Your thoughts?

For example...I remember reading that someone just died from the Plague in Arizona. The friggin' PLAGUE! Now I cannot find the article anywhere! Our front page news of the day is someone's Halloween costume and Britney running a red light! WTF?

Yea...I guess if we are worrying about Britney's day and Halloween costumes, we would be worrying about The Plague, our politicians running amuck and the fact our resources are being drained by illegal immigrants. It's nice to be sheeple. Makes you feel safe.

Absolutely; with newspapers like The Chicago Tribute, Washington Post, and Miami Herald; if you can actually call that crap that they print up news, being one of the worst ones that promotes division among the races.

I remember the first time I felt this way. I was living in Biloxi when a local radio station started making noise about the flag display in Gulfport. They thought it shouldn't fly the Battle Jack naval flag. The owner said it was hurting people that had to drive by it daily.
This resulted in: theft of all the flags; an unwanted/needed visit from David Duke; demonstrations; a person living at the flag display; and an odd vote.
This media event was brought to you by the quest for ratings. We were all wondering what stories weren't being covered or hightlighted during this story.

I hope I live in America now so I can understand better where you coming from. Even in the third world country, you will find a deviation of truth to bombing and non-sensical rumors but not directly on the issues. I guessed, the media has a responsibility to inform the truth about the country and maybe the issues your looking was not as significant as they think.

The media is driven by ratings. They are always going to be going after the latest hot topic, no matter what it is. I don't think racially dividing people is on the media's agenda.

By the way, I went to Google and searched for the story you were talking about that had supposedly disappeared, and I got several pages of results.

"It seems"? Interesting observation but you would need to actually provide reasonable evidence to back it up and not just speculation.

On the other hand, the media is entertainment and is driven by ratings and not by anything else.

Peace and Blessings,

I totally agree with what you are saying. It's also about getting rid of the middle class too. You are either going to be rich or your going to be poor.

of course. If we weren't so dedicated to hating each other then we might have time to look at what is really going on in the world.
