I think I can safely predict which way this one will turn out, but I know there are those who feel both ways about the issue.

Allow me to add, that as a single hetero male, most of my life has been dedicated to seeing the female breast, but even I don't find seeing said breast with a baby slurping on it to be an erotic sight.

Given that, it's hard for me to see anyone using eroticism as an argument against public breastfeeding.

What do you think?

Well, as a mother who breastfed my kids, I can say that I wholeheartedly support anyone who decides to do it, whether it be in public or private. I tended to shy away from doing it in public, but I totally support those women who do. It just made me uncomfortable. There are lots of ladies that I know who can breastfeed while they are out at the mall or in a restaurant, etc. and you would never even know that's what they were doing. Most breastfeeding mothers I know don't want to whip out their breast in public , they just don't want to be treated with disrespect when they are just trying to do what's best for their baby. I don't think they should have to feel like they should have to run find some dark corner to hide in whenever it's time for their baby to eat.

breastfeeding is what breasts were made for not for any erotic issues! babies get just as hungry in public as they do at home! women can breast feed in public and never show as much flesh as is shown by some of the clothing that is in style for evening wear. and people who complain about breast feeding must have been born grown or never had a child they cared enough for to want the very best for it !!!

hi Kristy, in case your in Newmarket Ontario then you extremely probable observed the item interior the paper about the breastfeeding controversy that happened on the traditional public pool. the mother all started breastfeeding at the same time as interior the pool and changed into requested to feed her infant out of the pool. Now i imagine moms ought to be able to feed their little ones everywhere that a mom who would not breastfeed her newborn might want to feed the child. might want to a mom have whipped out a bottle and all started feeding a touch one interior the midst of a pool?? I doubt it. I trust the pool in this celebration as they actually have obviously written no food or beverages interior the pool. As a mom that did breastfeed i do not imagine Im entitled to massive remedy and that i ought to persist with the rules a useless ringer for all and assorted else. If there is not any food or beverages in a shop.. then no breastfeeding. in case you want to flow sit on a bench then for sure your entitled. that is the position I feed my daughter now that she's eating solids or needs a bottle!

I agree with you... it's a child feeding if it is unsightly then no one should ever eat in public vs. people who find it unsightly should find something else to look at
and another thing PDA's are whats actually suggestive and yet completely acceptable- it's all in the mind.

It's all part of the grande design, but it has it's consequences. The other day I noticed a young mother breastfeeding her baby in the park. What startled me was the line of young men forming for "next."

Well, I'm a little fifty fifty on the whole thing you see, because of course it isn't very pleasing to see a woman's breast just hangin out the side of her shirt and some little kid suckin on it like theres no tomorrow, THEN theres the part where you have to understand that it is natural and while you sit there and try not to look but your eyes are just glued, you ask yourself, "Wow, that woman doesn't have a shame in the world does she?" "Does that kid have to make that noise?" and finally, "Why do i feel a tickle in pants?"

Proponents say it's natural and healthy but so is going to the bathroom. I really don't care to see either in public.
