Total world electricity production is about 1.5 x 10^21 Joules per year. The average retail cost for electricity in the USA is just over a dime per kilowatt-hour (1 kW-h is 3.6 x 10^6 Joules), and the USA produces about a quarter of the world's electricity. If you assume that the retail cost of electricity in the USA is about the same as it is for the rest of the world, you can then finish your calculation.
