Please don't worry if your belly looks small. Every woman carries differently.
When I was 8 months pregnant with my son I looked like I was 5 months pregnant. When I delivered him at 37 weeks I only looked 6 months pregnant but he was totally healthy and a good weight.
At 33 weeks you're actually more like 8 months pregnant and both you and your baby have more growing to do in the coming weeks.
Everything will be fine. And the contractions you are feeling are Braxton-Hicks - "practice contractions."
If they ever become very painful or close apart (less than 5 minutes) and won't go away, then you would call your doctor.
All the best to you

Healthy preemie babies are born all the time. And you could be having practice contractions. Size of tummy, well there could be lots of reasons for that and your babie could be on the small side of the scale. That doesn't mean something is wrong. Even with all the HIGH TECH measuring devices used today they can be wrong. My girlfriend was told her baby would be due about Nov 17, they took the baby Oct 30, 6lb 13oz, and healthy. She was tested & measured (she is 40 and testing is more intense because of her age and her high blood pressure) so much before that they told her she would have a big baby, and she didn't have a big belly for a big baby. She is a healthy diet freak, and was careful of what she ate the entire 9mo. Now she doesn't even look like she had a baby. So remember, it is different for every woman. I was 6mo pregnant before I noticed my jeans were getting snug around the belly, by 9mo I had gained 30 lbs. Shot up like a cow. All that came off in 3mo. So everyone is different....and if you are contracting...just call the Doctor, he is the best for advice for your care right now.

Each woman carries different, Some woman gain only 15 lbs while others gain 65+. Have you been seeing the dr regular? With prenatal vitamins and check ups? IF so PLEASE Dont worry, you are blessed... I am HUGE and MISERABLE! Im 35 weeks and have been having contractions since about 20, but they are braxton hicks and they are my bodies way of getting ready for my new lil man. If you are still in doubt or havent been seen regularly with this baby than you need to call a dr, or you could even go to the er, there they will give you an ultra sound as a precaution, however you should be ready to get your 34 week ultra sound from the dr soon. Remember YOU pay the dr, and sometimes we feel as if we are annoying them, but that is what they get paid to do. You must feel secure in your pregnancy that way you can relax and enjoy it..

At 33 weeks, you still have PLENTY of time for that belly to grow! From here on out baby will gain close to half its total weight. You should gain about a pound a week, half of which will go to you, and half of which will go to baby. If you are going by lunar months, then yes, this is the start of your 9th month, but, your pregnancy will be 10 months long. If you are going by the traditional 9 month calendar, then you are in your 8th month.

If you have a doubt about your baby weight you should do and ultrasound scanning, 32 weeks its 7 months, actually, so if you have a baby with acording bones size to 32 or 33 weeks, you shouldn't have been worried with the size of your belly. it is normal to have even to 8 contracctions of 1 to 1:30 min of duration in a day (called braxton hicks contractions) due to an normal activiti of your uterus as a muscule.

33 weeks is not nine months. 33 weeks is 8 months. You will be nine months after 36 weeks, and considered full term- but you are not due until 40 weeks. Until then you cannot give birth to a healthy baby.
Its normal to have contractions at this stage, but they should stop when you stop, and you should not have more than 6 in an hour. If you do you need to call your doctor or go to the hospital. If you keep having a lot of contractions you need to slow down, drink more water, and not be quite as active.
The size of your belly is the size it should be, some women are naturally smaller than others. You're smaller now than you will be when you're actually due for a baby.

that happened to me. i was small with my first.i didnt start showing much until the 4th or 5th month. even when i was about ready to give birth, the nurses aide didnt think that i was full term but i was. alot of women dont have very large bellies, i know i didnt and i still delivered a healthy size child. it depends on genetics and the baby's weight.

You really need to see your doctor for any major contractions at this point. You are 33 weeks and if you deliver now your baby would have to live in the NICU so please immediately call your OB or hospital. They will decide if you need to come in. You may have to go in a couple of times to be monitored and thats ok.
