Im not really sure what you are actually asking. Are you saying its better to find out yourself than to ask for other peoples opinions? Are you saying that we all have different perceptions about the same situation? If so, what are you really asking?

It gives a wider perspective to a situation thus increasing the choice.In other words,you are more likely to get closer to an accurate answer.For example,if you were so **** sure of what you profess,you wouldn't have asked this question.It's the same reason for which you asked the question.

It helps to get it out in the open and feel support from others; you know you will ultimately make your own decision. We sometimes like to feel others care when we are having difficult times.

What? No two persons are alike and even identical twins are not exactly alike. He /she may be asking for him/her to know the opinion of others.

its always good to get advice from others, and see their viewpoint. others may know things u don't know. they may have been there before and can guide u. sometimes the advice of others is valuable.
