When my life didn't turn out the way I planned it, I had to redefine success.

1. I'm a success as a human being.

2. I raised two great kids with no help.

3. I went back to school a few years ago and got my degree.

4. I have a great life and am happy.

Ironically, these were my goals all along; I just hoped to have a career to go along with them.

You have the ability to be happy while you grow in new directions.

Sometimes people forget that they are making the rules for their own lives.

You have done everything correctly. This is how success is achieved.

Congratulations!

I think as long as your happy you are successful. Human desire is to be "Happy". Some might be "Happy" in a cardboard box, though rare and some may never be happy because there expectations of themselves are too high. I could be rich and miserable I'd rather be happy and poor. I have 5 beautiful daughters that make me "Happy" most of the time therefore most of the time I am successful..LOL
