All I Have To Say Is They Did It For Me When I Was Younger..So Yeah,I Wouldnt Have A Choice

I will and have done that for my Mom and when it comes time, I will do it for Dad as well. My Mom passed away recently and I would give anything to be able to change her diaper again, if I could do that, then it would mean she was still here with me and I could continue to give her the loving care that she needed and enjoyed.

Good luck.

The answer to your question is yes. I believe that if you truly do honor your parents then it is imperative that you take care of them when that day does come. If it means changing diapers then so be it. It is not perverted, nor is it wrong, besides I am not too comfortable with a stranger doing this. I believe in the twilight of my parents lives they should be comforted by their children and that means they should be clean and comfortable, also as their child they need to know that I for one will make sure they go to their doctors appointments and take their medications.

Every senior citizen will not be required to wear diapers, just thought I would throw that in, as a matter of fact don't be to sure that your parents might not have to change yours again,
when that day comes!

It wouldn't be anywhere near the top of the my list of "fun things to do", but if it was necessary then I would. I would prefer that I could afford to give them professional care (which would include this help) so that I could get on with my life and that someone who had training and expertise was looking after them, but if that was not possible I would do what I needed to do to care for them myself. The alternative is to leave them in soiled diapers - which is not an option.
If wanting to get them cared for by someone else so that I could live my life sounds selfish, I can assure you it is what my parents want - what I would want for my children and what most parents would want.

Yes, I did that. I took care of both of my parents. My father was paralyzed from the waist down and my mother had a stroke and was paralyzed down her left side. They lived with me until my father died and mother got to the point she needed 24/7 medical care. It was a hard decision to put my mom in the nursing home but in the end it was the best thing for her. I am glad I got to take care of them and make their life a little better for as long as I could.
