yes i have quite a few times in fact we tried to save a oak tree from been cut down to make way for new houses and we give it a group hug when we lost the battle ..... :)

Yes, I have. I mean literally. I got to hug THE Palo Alto -- the tree that Palo Alto, California, was named after, where Stanford University is located. And living in the redwood forest of the Santa Cruz Mountains for many years, I have often hugged the trees just to say thank you for making my life so beautiful.
They add oxygen to the air and remove carbon dioxide, which makes living around a lot of big trees make you feel good. Try Big Basin State Park near Boulder Creek sometime. Or Sequoia National Park.

Yes, i have once hugged a tree on a dare. During a packed out camping trip with the local school. I was 7 years old then.

suggest u read the book THE SECRET LIFE OF PLANTS AUTHORED BY Peter Tempkins and Christopher Bird and u will know how, when, why etc. Plants have extra sensory perception as also read ur mind.A Iso if u hugged or kissed a tree, it is accepted that u love this tree and the tree loves u too, just like humans! This is the way of tree to be more healthy and blossom rapidl,I feel.

No. I'm from eastern Canada, where trees outnumber people by about 1000 to 1. I'm not prepared to get excited about trees.

When I was a boy a guava tree was my friend. I used to hug and had serious talks at that time.I confided every thing,my worries,sorrows , and I still believe it understood everything I said..

I have never hugged a tree ... but there HAVE been several houseplants I was very fond of.

Once when I was younger but not in a hippy way....my mum was trying to get me indoors and i didn't wanna go so I clung to the tree....Lol
