One of the most unique things about humans is our curiosity. We are constantly asking WHY? WHAT? WHEN? HOW? I know it's almost impossible at times to believe that there is actually a "God" who cares about us and wants whats best for us. I also believe that He didn't just leave us hanging, without ANY kind of way to learn about Him and WHAT He intends to do about these horrible conditions on the earth. That's why He inspired men to write the Bible. 2ndTimothy 3:16,17: 16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. As for Hell, I don't believe a "loving" God would torment people forever and ever. I believe what he says will happen to them when they die. They will return to dust.Genesis 3:19 Does that mean all those that have lived will never live again? No. God is SO loving that he provided a means for "righteous and unrighteous" to be resurrected. Acts 24:15: 15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. Have you heard about people who have lost loved ones to violent deaths due to evil and murderous people? There seems to be a split between people who want nothing more than to put that person to death, but there are those that do not believe in the death penalty, even though they have experienced the same loss and suffering. Why? I can't imagine having to struggle with those types of injustice, but even killing the killer wouldn't bring back our loved ones, right? We all sin. Some to more degrees than the next. It's a hard thing to accept that we have to wait on God to punish or correct someone who is clearly evil and vile. But,only He can see the heart of a man, and will decide if it is remorseful and is willing to repent. In the meantime, we have to rely on imperect man's system of justice. And I know there are folks out there that aren't too happy with that either. We see alot of criminals get off with their crimes, and some choose to blame God, when it was some crooked lawyer or judge that had the decision in their hands, and failed miserably to seek justice. It's my opinion that the concept of Hell that has been taught by some "Christian" religions is a very erroneous and false teaching. I highly doubt that a God of love wants us to worship him out of fear. I sure don't love anyone here on the earth because they twisted my arm to do so. You should look into the origins of the word and concept of Hell. You might be surprised to find that the men and women of the Bible had a totally different view of death and where we go when we die. Best wishes for answers to your questions.
