I'm looking in the sky this morning and I see a very bright, what appears to be a large object. It's not moving and is to the East - Southeast. I'm in Arizona and it was at 545am on Nov. 17,2007. Is it a planet? Satelite?

I stated TWICE in my question EAST - SOUTHEAST. Where would someone get NORTH from that? If you have no clue what you are talking about, then you probably shouldn't answer the question.

I have read your additional details and agree with you.
It is not a comet; I have seen that; it is visible in the evening
at present. What you see is the planet Venus; right now it's
visible before sunrise right where you describe. Venus is
so bright you can even see it in the middle of the day if you
know where to look. Anyway, you are seeing Venus.

that's amazingly virtually actual Venus, regardless of the reality that it could be increasing interior the east and transferring to the southeast because it rises, no longer north. Venus is _always_ this shiny: that's by ability of a few distance the brightest merchandise interior the sky except the sunlight and Moon. you're perfect; Comet Holmes is in yet another route. It changed into shiny _for a comet_, yet fainter than 1000's of stars interior the sky at its brightest, and now very virtually invisible to the bare eye.

There is a comet in the sky now that can be seen by the naked eye. Perhaps that is what you are seeing.
