ITALY will beat SCOTLAND today & effectively ended Tartan Army's hopes of reaching another major football tournament.

Scotland for a great chance of going through. They're at home so they have the advantage. The only problem will be the midfield.
Italy will have two approaches. The first will be passing through middle of the park. Pirlo will no doubt be the mastermind of the Italian midfield and everything will be going through him. If Scotland can contain him and make it difficult for him to pick out players, then Italy will have a problem.
The second approach is the wings. With Pirlo isolated, Italy will be using their full-backs and wingers more and more as the game goes on to provide the balls into the box that the forwards need. Scotland need to make sure those crosses don't come in and if they do, that they're dealt with quickly.

judging by the play,Scotland did beat Italy, but Italy somehow won the game by a " wierd " call from the referee. Now that I think about it, this happens a lot to the Italian team ( exspecially when they are in hard times ) some " FUNNY " calls happened that made them win.
WHY CAN'T THE ITALIANS PLAY HONESTLY OR MAYBE THEY ARE NEVER THAT GOOD WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE HEADBUTTS, FALLING OVER , ELBOW KUNG - FU MOVEMENT AND A REFEREE WHO ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE ON THEIR SIDE * specially near the end of the game *

Azzurri are suerly a class act and on paper scotland dont stand a chance but football is played in the ground and not on paper.Suerly, on paper stronger teams win usually but in tight encunters its a moment on briliance which can sprout from inspiration of just an ordinary player.Scots will b inspired but at the same time Italians will also b so coz of the recent fan clash/death debacle.
my vote goes to scotland (its always nice for netrals to see davids down goliaths ;) )

You do know that Italy are the world champions?
Put the other way round...I would say it is possible for Scotland to beat Italy, but the Italians will need to have an off day. I hope the Scots do go through though.

Yes as anything is possible in football.
I really hope Scotland beat Italy today as i think Italy needs a good kick up the backside as there supporters are a disgrace to football with all the violence they bring to football.
