Like: The ability to hate foreigners who come here to cause trouble.
Hate: The way they complain about being hated when they do so much to cause it in the first place - like that fat bloke with a hook, umpteen wives and kids and (of course) a large house AT OUR EXPENSE who used to stir shite in the street at Finsbury Park and is now in prison for it and is now going to be deported to the USA for WORLD-WIDE offences - and still has the nerve to complain about his "treatment" ! ! !

I hate that they tax people for having friends. I'm not making this up. If you own a house in England and a friend starts staying there, even for free, the government taxes you for having another tenant.
I hate that free parking, even though it would increase commerce for store owners, is virtually non-existant. Plus, it's so DAMNED EXPENSIVE! ONE POUND for thirty minutes. That's TWO DOLLARS!
I hate that they don't recognize that you have a disability, like back in the states, you get a blue disability placard IF YOU'RE DISABLED... but here, you only get one if you're disabled AND you've paid taxes. WTF????TAXES??? What do taxes have to do with a goddamn HEART ATTACK?? Morons. I hate that they do NOTHING about their criminals. A con man commits a crime, makes £70,000 and he's fined £12,000. And he walks out of court.
To register an automobile cost's $400!!! And it has nothing to do with the year. I bought a 1992 VW Golf Diesel but because the engine was over 1500cc, my Road Tax was $400. Otherwise, it would have been $320. The car itself cost me £550. That's $1100. Back home, registration would be $42 or less. Coffee is $25 (twenty-five dollars) per pound!!! Roasted French Roast beans! My HAND TO GOD!! Thank GOD I brought eight bags from home before I came!
But the people are great! Totally helpful. If you're in a small town where Americans rarely come, they're fascinated by you. I like the way they talk, not just their accents. I was in a department store the other day and there were these two chicks shopping, enjoying themselves, one says to the other "you're so DRAMATIC!" only it didn't sound stilted at all...

I love the British. I love their accents. I love the UK comedies that come on PBS here in the US. I've never been to the UK, but would love to go someday. I imagine there are good people, then rude and nasty people like you'd find all over the world, including the US.
I don't hate anything about Britain or its people as a whole. Like everywhere else, one bad apple (or a few) does not spoil the whole bunch!

I like to see diversity when I am walking around certain towns/cities in Britain - it's beautiful when I'm at uni (Leeds) and I see people from all over the globe - people I can learn things from. I hate it when I see discrimination of many sorts - especially that directed towards Muslims which is something of a phenomenon here in Britain. Good question

I love: Top Gear, Black Adder, Black Books and Bill Bailey. I hate: reality tv shows.
I love Britain, I hate the yob culture, the swearing and the drinking. When you've never seen anything like it before, it is horrendous. And why are we so surprised at the advertisements that show us how the Belgians see us?
I love the freedoms, I hate that tearing down attitude though - it's a sort of bulldog thing - once the media gets its teeth into you, they don't let go.
I lovew the countryside and the cities, I hate those depressing rows of face brick buildings. I'd ban them.

I like Britains history, its culture its scientific, medical, artistic, social, sporting and political advances and inventions which have enriched the world.
I like the fact that Britain is a democracy, not politically extreme, has freedom of speech, respect for everyones rights, is generally tolerant, has a high standard of living etc.
I like the fact that i live in a country that is STILL one of the greatest powers, politically, economically, militarily and culturally!
I like the countryside, i like the sense of humour and the bravery of the traditional brit.
Im of Iraqi origin (Assyrian), Iraq is none of the above, and gave my family nothing but oppression and pain. Iraq WAS the birthplace of civilisation...when MY people ruled it, before the Arabs.
I HATE, the "Chav" underclass that makes everyones life a misery, i hate the fact that family values seem to mean less these days, i hate political correctness, i hate the influence of reality TV, and the influence of American Junk Culture, particularly urban music which influences the underclass, i hate the unchecked mass immigration that is damaging the fabric of this country, i hate multiculturism, i hate the fact many britons are browbeaten into not showing pride in their country.
