Keep going past the "point of no return" and then when you get to the other side, start from there.
When you reach that point, you are committed to what you are doing, and should finish whatever it is. I just hope to god this isn't something illegal.. like murder! If it's a crime or something, you'd best just turn yourself in.. it's gonna eat at your soul.
But other than that, keep going until you reach the end, and make amends as necessary.
