There is nothing better than a good marriage, and nothing worse than a bad marriage,,,,,I wish you love and happiness, I hope you find a sweet, loving lady that will love and adore you, I hope she works with you, and plans with you, and laughs with you, I wish you the perfect marriage, when you do get a lady, I hope she is half as wonderful as you! I can see your soul, and it is beautiful!

No, I'm a better person for some reason when I have someone in my life. I'm happier, so I imagine that I personally am better off in relationships....but then again on the flip side, being single leaves no option of being hurt....hmmm, good question I could debate forever.

There was some sociological research that suggested that Women are worse off in a relationship in terms of finance and life-style, while men do rather better in these things than if on their own.

This was about 20 years ago though.

not if it means your going to be lonley, but it is nice to do whatever you want when you want, but think about when you get old that is scary, when you have no family and your all alone everything you ever worked for will be just either thrown away or given to a cats home or whatever, it is great to be at the top of the family tree and look down at the branches that have formed because of you, children, grand children, great grandchildren, all that love and happiness, dont miss out on it

Unfortunately neither being single nor being maried is terribly desirable. It is a choice between being lonely, and being bored and controlled.

It is too bad that our society doesn't provide more options. Both singles' life and nuclear family are very recent inventions in human history, and they are both bad. I wish we could learn from our ancient ancestors, and build more supportive social communities, where people related to more people more intensely, and had many life long and diverse relationships. See one source below.

Yes, being past my child-bearing years / i.e., no reason to legally tangle with a partner, I see no reason to have anyone by my side who doesn't sincerely want to be by my side.
To quote the great Kate Hepburn, "Men and women shouldn't live together. They should live next door to eachother and visit now and again."

Maybe that's why you're single, talking forever about being single.

no, I'm better off being a couple. I've never really liked being single as I'm a Libran and we love company.

I never had a desire to be single or live the single life. I enjoy being married too much for that.
