if its a family or work get-together, then yes i dont like them, i wouldnt say i despise or dread them as much as in the past,
i find they are better if i limit my time, and also keep in mind that its a one time thing, well atleast one time a few times a year lol
if possible, i try to hold them in my home, or a place of my choosing, i also find getting more involved with the planning helps, and keeping in mind that most of the others would rather not be there also

Yes, unless it's the private all-girls one we hold at my friend's house just for our class. They're fun!
The stuffy office parties my parents' companies used to hold were so dull... I hated it when I was forced to accompany my Mom and Dad.

Sometimes I despise it, sometimes I feel uneasy. Sometimes I feel inconfident because of it, sometimes I feel irritable.

I shy away from them. I consider myself a private person and do not socialize well in crowds. I feel much more comfortable with a one on one contact.
