OK I always give a bit more detail... A bit too verbose at times I think... There are some questions where only a yes or no seem to be appropriate answers. , but not often.. < Most replies can be qualified if the responder can be bothered to do it.. I think laziness is the biggest reason for brief replies....

When I think about answering just "yes" or "no", which I did once, I feel bad. Not for the question asked, but for my response. I feel I have more to offer than that, and if I don't have a genuine response, then I should not be answering.

Better to give supporting details for yes or no, unless, the question provides for a single word answer only!

Well, if you want to get a best answer, then you should put more detail, but if you don't care about that and you just want to answer yes or no then that's fine too.

10 specified solutions by using fact a hundred short solutions might desire to be approximately a hundred fairly some issues and you do not knw the place the guy is comming from. I consistently provide reasons at the back of my solutions by using fact I merely could clarify myself

the answer given should be in yes or no,along with a few specific details, so as to make the questioner feel satisfied for marking your answer as best answer......

It depends on the question.. if it warrants just a yes or no then sure why not...
If they ask do you like ..[whatever] and WHY? then it invites you to answer more than just yes or no..

I think it depends on the individual and how they feel about a certain issue and what they want to contribute or don't want to. It's a personal choice, wouldn't ya say?

I just can't give a yes or no answer.
I always have to elaborate and give reasons or examples.
Sometimes I thikn I'll be told to just shut up. LOL
