The rising popularity of T20 Cricket and presence of more excitement in One day Internationals may result in fewer percentage of five day matches being played, but there will never be the disappearance of five day matches altogether.Since, they are the true and original form of Cricket. It,is to be understood that only in a five day Test match that a player's true skills of batting and bowling are adjudged!

I do not think that test cricket will disappear as it is the real form of cricket where the skill of batsmen and bowler will be really tested.

Australia has nearly solved that by winning most of its matches in the past few years within 3 days. :-)

But in seriousness, I hope tests, ODI and T20 all stay alive, they cater to different audiences. I think that will be the case beause Inida will always want to prove it's better than Australia and vice versa (etc etc)

im not a fan of test matches, i find them pretty boring. i love one dayers or 20/20, but in saying that, i think they are part of history and will be around for a long time.
