If they were not rare, they wouldnt have a rhyme made up about them

It is rare,it usually two,a male and female and i think i read that magpies mate for life.

my friend saw 16 the other morning...all together in a field at about 6.30am.....myself i've never seen more than 6 at any 1 time.
