Polls do not elect candidates. Voters do. In the 2004 run up to elections, Howard Dean was ahead of everyone in all of the polls. He was the darling of the left wing liberal loonies. He did not win anything. John Kerry was third and ended up winning the nomination of his party.
We still have seven months to go before the nominating convention.
