Do you think the drought that is happening in Georgia is Gods punishing for what they did to the young man,,Williams,, for having sex with his 15 Y/O girlfriend. I think so and I am happy.

I am a Georgian, and yes, we are in a terrible state of drought.

Is that drought because God is "punishing us" for Mr. Williams? Come on now...you can't be serious! I will not share with you my own personal religious views - that is irrelevan. However, if you are a true Christian, then surely you think that God is both smarter and more just than to punish a state for a small group's wrongdoing... Recent estimate say that there are 4,646,003 people who live in the state of Georgia. Myself being one of them, I - as well as most people I know - feel that Mr. Williams was treated very unjustly. According to most of the articles I have read online and in Georgia newspapers, that seems to be the opinion of most people - he got a very raw deal. Is that everyone's fault? I don't think so. And, I don't think that it has a thing to do with the state itself. It was a decision of members of a particular court. Not that other 4,600,00+ of us! You said, "God is punishing them for what they did." I know I did nothing to Mr. Williams, nor did anyone else I know - or 99% of Georgians!

Now if you believe in God - and I assume that you do since you posed this question - do you really think that our Georgia's drought has anything to do with God punishing mass people because one person was done wrong? If so, it does little to compliment your intelligence.

What is most disturbing is your final statement. You said, " I think so, and I'm happy." This shows complete ignorance on your part. Not only because you think that this is the case, but even more so because you are shallow and immature enough to be happy that millions of people are suffering for something that has nothing personally to do with them. My suggestions: 1. Think rationally before you post something so ridiculous. 2. Grow up.

I dont know if thats the reason. The thing is Georgia has allowed growth to go on out of control with no regard to infrastructure. Each metro Atlanta County added house after house and Wal-Mart after Wal-mart with no regard for water and as a result we have the crisis we are in now. We have prayed for rain and we got rain. But, it is not enough to get us out of the situation we are in. We need to conserve our resources. I do hope Mr. Williams is able to recoup from all of the injustice he was shown. I wish him the best.
