If you mean this year as a whole, then Detroit, because they will go further than Phoenix... cuz they always do. If you mean during the season not including the playoffs, then I'd pick Phoenix. Its hard to say....
Offensively- Suns are a wonderful team but as everyone knows offense doesn't win championships.
Defensively- Pistons are still a top team the only problem, they are getting old and there isn't a consistant player on the roster.
Compare players:
Nash vs Billips: winner- Nash, he is a pure point guard who can lead, nothing against Billips but he sometimes thinks shoot first pass second, and as a point guard it shouldn't be that way.
Rip vs. Raja: winner- Rip, the masked bandit is a great player, he only lacks consistancy.
Marion vs. Prince: winner- Marion, this was hard but Marion does it all. Prince is a good player but doesn't specialize in any catagory while Marion has taken rebounding and scoring as a speciality.
Amare vs. Rasheed: winner- Amare, he is having a tough season so far but he should shake it all off and become that dominate player everyone knows. Rasheed shows signs of brilliance but only clouds it with his lack of judgement.
McDyess vs. Hill: winner- WASH...Both players bring different things to the table but injuries have taken a lot out of the two, so you have the walking dead.
So winner- Phoenix Suns based on players....

If i was to pick the team to win the championship, i would pick Pistons, they have the players, and the experience. If i was to pick a team to win a regular season game, i would give it to phoenix.
