I'd ask a question here if i wanted opinions.
I'd surf the net or ask an expert if i wanted fact.

Why would you first look in wikipedia without asking a question in Yahoo! Answers?

i don't get upset with regard to the wikipedia ingredient by way of fact I understand acceptable away the guy does not have quite some an theory to proportion. in line with danger they are merely lazy or maybe they certainly need to help yet are clueless. I merely pass directly to the subsequent posting and pray that final poster does not breed. I advise that is been the two shown and examined academically that wikipedia isn't inevitably a competent or precise source. Even the wikipedia internet site itself has "consumer cautions" & "contested posting" notices. some colleges and universities have regulations that limit their scholars bringing up wikipedia of their papers. no longer that each and every thing on the area is undesirable...it does have good techniques so should not be completely snubbed. nonetheless can somebody particularly come right here and act as though wikipedia is the final word? Duh. experience sorry for them, no longer offended.

I've often wondered. But Wikipedia doesn't know everything - one of the best answers I got was code numbers from a newspaper to watch episodes 2 and 3 on the dvd they gave away

I've often wandered this on some questions, but maybe it's the "human" interaction of YA. After all nobody is forcing anyone to answer. You can spend some time going through the web in search of an answer.
And the trouble with any encyclopedias, is serendipity. I always end up looking at something completely different than I intended to.

Wikipedia is good only for General Information. If you are searching for general info you can use Wiki no doubt.
Yahoo Answers is for some personal queries. Questions like what to do and not to do vary for people and so Yans (yahoo answers) is used.

Forget wikipedia, it only has "mentionable things" not necessarily helpful answers to questions. I think they should at least search something like google - or even read the related topics that show up when you write in your question.
I also wonder why people are so vague in their questions, like : "myspace question...?" under the myspace heading....it's like duh, what is your question though. At least give me some hint as to what it's referring to.
People just won't learn - I do like answering and asking questions, but I would prefer it if people wouldn't ask the same ones hundreds of times.

More to the point is "Why look in Wiki at all?" - it's full of mistakes, some entered in error, some maliciously, and certainly is NOT to be relied upon simply because any old Tom, Dick and Harry can make entries and alterations making it about as much use for a REAL answer as this site is if you're honest! If you REALLY want proper info, go to something like Google, Encarta, or get yourself a decent encyclopaedia ! ! ! (

People like to interact. Although we cannot see each other, we are in a circle answering your question. Some answers are good and some are bad, that's life. But at least it's real and as someone else said, you are not just getting a definition, you are getting opinions from people who are alive, apart from me.

if you search on wikipedia, if you look at the top, it says, "edit this page". People will edit it. So some answers are wrong.
