While he will be defenitely be in the test team, his place in the playing 11 permanently is still uncertain as V.V.S. Laxman is still a strong contender to him. He can get a permanent place in the playing 11 if either V.V.S. Laxman or Saurav Ganguly fail to perform. As long as they are around and playing well, he may have to wait to get a permanent place in the playing 11.
