New York, the Giants (football and baseball) have won, the mets have won, the dodgers have won, the knicks won, the islanders and rangers both I believe (not for sure) and of course the wankers uh Yankees. i believe its 29 for the yankees and that alone is difficult to beat.
Celtics won alot but Red Sox, Braves, Bruins, and Patriots are not that far behind. Do you count the AFL championship of the Boston Patriots. Do you count New England since they changed from Boston (maybe not) I don't have all the figures but baseball alone in New York should put them over the top

I am from Pittsburgh and I can admit that I do believe that you asked if you were the only city to have champions in all the major sports. Yes, but no. If you mean this year, then no. You can't say the pats won a championship YET. Same with the Celtics or the Bruins. You have to wait for the season to be over. Boston College, and the Red Sox for this year this far, are the only Boston area teams to win a championship (ACC and World Series obviously.) Now as I said the keyword is yet. Will the pats and Celtics win? It's a good possibility, especially the Pats. Even as a Steelers fan, I will admit that the Pats have a really, really good chance. The Celtics and Bruins, well anything can happen in the NBA and NHL.

NFL 3 for NY 3 for BOS, NBA 11 boston 2 ny knicks, NHL 3 boston 8 for the ny teams, MLB (and here's where they take that cake) 7 for boston and get this: NY 28. So the final tally of championships is Boston: 24 and NY: 41. It was kind of early in the morning when I checked these... OH wait, i forgot there used to be the NY Giants... That would give NY 5 more. So, without baseball it's pretty even, but the Yanks alone have 26 WS under their belt.

Absolutely an unfair question. New York has had so many more team. Compare Apples to Apples, not Bean pot to Big Apple.

This one's easy because of the Yankees. If Beantown didn't have the Smeltics (16 NBA titles), it wouldn't even be close.
