I like the idea very much, but not sure if it's suited for a band name.
You have to realize, it'd be shortened to Adam. Your band would be known as Adam. Which isn't bad either. But, it totally misses your point.
I just thought of Adam's Apple - but that's ridiculous - lol. Although, it does have a macho sound about it!
And of course, it could be likened to the dopey Geko commercial or Geico, whatever it is. Okay, I'll stop now, I've written a novel.
Are you serious? Or did I just make a total fool out of myself? - lol.

Too long...to ensure a success for a band,you should look for names easy to pronounce and to rmb...
