The computer was working good until I changed the fan because it was getting noisy. Now the machine do not start windows XP, and now is making these annoying noise that sound like and old patrol car from England! Did I installed it wrong, did I broke something else during the installation process, or just installed it wrong? Please help.

High and low beeps mean processor problem. Heatsink may not have been installed or seated properly. Processor is overheating. You should have also cleaned the old thermal paste and applied new paste.

The beeps have nothing in common with the fan.

Check if you have moved any of the components on the mainboard. If you look at what kind of BIOS you have and search the internet for BIOS POST beeps you will find a list of types of beeping and their corresponding problem. Generally it's nothing serious, but something like memory or graphics card not properly inserted.

Check and make sure your new fan is the same Voltage rating as your old fan, and yes where it plugs to the mainboard - the Pin with the "+" close to it should be red wire

hi, i think of you're experiencing a failing motherboard right here. you probably did a good pastime by ability of troubleshooting for visual exhibit unit problems. in case you have an adventure in assembling a working laptop or workstation... then you definately can swap up your motherboard with yet another one utilising properly suited units merely. make sure it's plugged in the same way as before, same connector -- -- -- also, make sure the heatsink and CPU are attached securly --- make sure your memory is in all the way -- if you can't figure it out, your motherboard manual will tell you what each beap code means --- or call the company
