when i go to the bathroom and right after i get up, it hurts. it burns when i pee but i don't think its a yeast infection. i was recently told that i have to get a follow-up pap for HPV. could that have something to do with it? or what. it hurts in my pelvic area also.

if you need more info, let me know.

Uti can be chronic and hereditary. My ex suffered them a lot. drink plenty of cranberry juice, try not to take AZO, that contains carcinogens that can contribute to the development of cancer. If you have HPV and are experiencing deep pelvic pain, then there is the chance that you could be developing cervical cancer...don't freak out it is very common now. one other option could be a minor bacterial issue. if it hurts during sex as well or gets red at the urethra it is most likely a urinary tract infection. antibiotics will also help clear it up if it isn't chronic. Good luck

A UTI is a short way to say urinary tract infection. One thing that can cause it is by not drinking enough water to keep the body hydrated.

I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

sounds to me like you may have chlamydia. Though about 2/3 of women who do contract the STD don't show any form of symptoms, the ones you describe are the affects from the disease. If left untreated, problems can arise with the pelvic region and it can interfere with future pregnancies. Luckily, we are fortunate enough to cure this simply by taking antibiotics.

this is only a possibility, but i suggest you bring this up with your doctor.

good-luck

Burning on urination can be a sign of an STD or also a urinary infection. You should see a doctor about it.
