I would suggest to any seeking knowledge about Hitlers motovations to read his book "Mein Kampf" which is available at many public libraries. It was hard for me to read but it did give me a frightening look into the mind of a really bizarre, angry, twisted individual.
The persecution of Jews was not a German invention and the practice had been going on for hundreds of years. Throughout European history Jews have been viewed as non-europeans and have been subjected to repeated persecutions for various fractions. Most European countries had restrictions against Jews or specal laws that applied to Jews for example it was pretty common that Jews had to register where they lived and many towns and cities area where the Jews were required to live and a person religon was noted on their passports and identity papers.
According to Hitler his hatred of Jews was formed during his early years when he was a starving painter in Austria. The
Austrain Empire prior to WW1 was a multi cultural one with many ethinic groups speaking different languages, and different religons.
The ghetto's of Vienna were full of various races and religons living in very poor conditions. Hitler viewed this abject property as a result of the various ethnic races rather than a by product of poverty.
Hitler avoided serving in the Austrian army and decided to move to Germany and serve in the German Army. It would be speculation to suggest that Hitler did not want to serve in such a racially deversified Austrain army, but it was apperently not for fear of going to war. I sumise that the German Army being 99% German was racially purer to that of the Austrain army and the ideals of Hitler.
After WW1 a number of books and writings became popular that protrayed the break up of the German and Austrian Empires as the results of a Jewish plot. Hitler subscribed to this theroy. Many Germans did not view this betrayal as a Jewish plot but united with Hitler because they felt Germany was betrayed at the end of WW1 and the resulting break up of the Empire and economic depression a result of that detrayal.
Human being have a desire of belonging, to part of the "family" and when the "Us or Thems" strart forming it is difficult to stop, irregradles of being a matter of race, religon, ethnic back gorund, Huto or Tutsi.

Anti-Semitism was widespread in Germany far before Hitler was even born (let alone elected to the Bundestag). Mistrust and hatred towards Jews was commonplace, and Jews were commonly blamed for just about anything imaginable.
Hitler capitalized on this prejudice to unite the people together, by using the Jews as a scapegoat for everything perceived to be wrong in Germany.

The Jews were a convenient target for hate. In Germany at that time much as in America now, a lot of people, perhaps a majority (oddly enough that is still disputed), could conjure up all sorts of reasons why Jews and those merely accused of being Jewish should be deprived of personal liberty, hurt and killed.
Hurting Jews was one of the keys to Hitler gaining the confidence of the German electorate along with loud words about 'Terrorist.' Just as America saw a round up of Muslims following 9/11, so it was in Germany in the 1930s. By branding many Jews as Bolsheviks & Terrorist, as well as Social Democrats (Liberals), Hitler & the Nazis won popular support for shoving all of these 'dangerous radiicals' into concentration camps where they were beaten starved and many of them killed.
Hitler had many scholars & scientsts as well as the Christian Church to back him in his efforts to 'combat the Jewish Menace. Hitler born into the Cathlic Faith rejected the Church yet accepted their aid in stoming on the Jews. To this Day, 2007, many Christian church groups bewail World War Two yet are proud to say that their communities are Jew Free.

lack of understanding knows no limitations. Hitler chosen Jews by way of fact he needed open group he ought to convince the German human beings have been answerable for each thing incorrect of their lives. by potential of doing so, he ought to unite the individuals in the direction of a uncomplicated objective. while he first started, I doubt he seen the Jews in any respect. Then he discovered he ought to apply the detest and mistrust many already had for the Jews.
