Taiwo,
We don't really "get rid" of our anger, but instead find a way to lessen it's dominance of our daily lives. It can also be channeled into energy to accomplish great good. For example, if you hate child abuse, you might volunteer for an organization that helps children who have been abused. In fact volunteering in any charitable organization will help you see your own problems in a different light, and help you to feel better about what is making you angry.
Exercise and participation in sports or hobbies also really helps. It's pretty hard to stay angry when you're having fun! Also, smile a lot, at others, it helps, too.
Getting counseling for your anger you help you feel better, too.

Try doing something out of your box for the moment This past few weeks I have found myself in anger and for some unknown reason I took up doing nice things to strangers
Example at a coffee shop I drive thru I buy the car behind me a
drink $3.00 gave me a chuckle when I saw them in my mirror.
I was so down today I sent notes to people I have not talk to in months. "Suprise I am still here and have a great day."
sounds odd but doing a nice simple thing takes my mind off the anger and makes me happy again.

For starters, indeed, find an outlet that suits you, i.e. exercising, writing, journaling etc. Through that you may find the root of your anger, then you'll have to find a way to root that out of your life.
Also, talk to someone, have one person you can confide in and listen to...therapy helps, or a pastor, or a close friend will do.

We always had a punching bag in the basement. There's nothing wrong with pretending it's someone who's made you really mad.
Explore your feelings and try to identify why you are so angry? Sometimes you just need to sit down with a person and talk calmly. Real violence is never the answer.

Find a quiet area where no one will hear loud noises coming from there, and just beat the **** out of something. A wall, a door, anything that won't result in major property or bone damage. Just hit it until you can't take the pain anymore.
Doing this once a week is a great release.

Anger is the product of hurt feelings, fear, frustration or shame. Find out what's beneath your anger and deal with that.
