Start your dream before you go to sleep with you being the destroyer of scary monsters. And then throw in some fun extracurricular stuff at the end.

I hope this is a serious question, because I'm going to give real suggestions.
Sleep with the light on.
Read your Bible and say a long prayer asking God to protect you dreams before sleeping.
Read a non-monster filled book until you can't stay awake long enough to care about monsters.
Lay down in your bed and clear you mind before going to sleep. Focus only on your breathing and match it to your hart beat. Hold each breath for ten seconds. Every time you breath in contract all the muscles in you body, do this until you fall a sleep. You shouldn't dream at all.

ha ha ....
Funny stuff....
Monsters are stupid and don't exist ,
think about something else before going to sleep,
like some cartoon, a video game or something...
Try thinking you can beat the monster

next time you dream of them and find yourself running away, stop and turn round to face them. Mine never bothered me again after I did that. And no, you won't die of fright...
Pleasant dreams.
