men and shoes?

Question

why do women always judge a man by the shoes that he wears. to tell if he is a bum or not.(some people have lots of money and don't spend it all in shoes but still wear old ones) and how would a woman judge a man by wearing funny looing shoes or weird looking shoes

hmm, I personally don't judge a man by his shoes. but i do love it when they are wearing a nice pair, shows that they care about their impression on people.

Perhaps it goes way back, he wears a good loin cloth and all that. However, a good pair of shoes that look good, cost a bit more than the norm may appeal to a woman in that they see a man is dressed well and likes to make himself comfortable, perhaps, like a peacock his dress is like him "displaying" in order to get a mate. However, I simply think that us women don't give men enough credit to think that they buy what feels comfortable, is practical and affordable. A guy at the park walking his dog for instance, in an old pair of worn out runners can't be known as he's put on a pair of comfies to walk his dog. On the other hand if you want to look further into it, a man with a pair of comfy worn in shoes might be thought to be a guy who wants a woman to be the same way, always there, makes him feel good and warm and accepts him no matter how old fashioned his ideas. Those with wierd shoes, perhaps to the men that wear them they are comfy and the same thing. My son used to have so many shoes, got to be when he had his pals around here I got to call it the Shoe Club. They all wore the same type of shoes but a more different bunch of guys you could never meet. By the way, he loved the ones with the antlers on them when he was having a few beers at Christmas...

Shoes, like the rest of your clothing choices, portray an image. If you are well dressed apart from your shoes, it tends to project a less than complete image. Invest in a few good pair of shoes to wear when you dress well.

Shoes are just like your clothes they express a lot about who you were. I wouldn't try to go out of my way to impress a woman by a shoe. Try to keep it simple and stick with simple colors too like black.
