I am asian, and i know that for one thing, there is heaps of people with asian ethnical background in the main cities of Australia. I for one, live in Melbourne, i always see heaps of asians everywhere; literally. I know that there would probably be heaps more asian people in America.

Seeing that there is so many asians around, how are we viewed by other people from different ethnical background? Are we hated? I am just interested to how we are viewed? I know for one, that we are considered as small people (and i agree for sure) Please be honest. Thankyou =]

Well I really don't view Asians any differently than any other person. I have many Asian friends, and each one is so different in personality, that I couldn't have a bias over a group of people. I think that a lot of people believe in the Asian stereotypes that they are very smart, serious, hardworking people, that like technology, which seems to be the case a lot of the time. But you have to take people for who they are. Personally, I find Asian people to be very attractive, and wish to meet an Asian guy. ;)

I live in a place that has a significant population of Asians. As a whole they seem to be a lot harder working and strive for success much harder than other racial groups.

I used to work as a Police Officer in an area of town that primarily populated with recent Asian immigrants. Even though it was a poorer neighborhood, the crime was not that bad.

There were some gangs of young Asian men, they were tough but I gave them some respect. I arrested a guy once, we knew he had been involved in a number of crimes but he seemed to have almost a supernatural ability to escape at just the right time. I searched him and found that he carried a radar detector wired to a battery in his pocket. He knew that American cops like to leave their speed radars on to confound speeders radar detectors.

He was a tough criminal but I had to admit that the detector was a great idea, we both laughed all the way to the jail/

I wish more people had the determination an moral values of most of Asian people I've encountered, I like there culture n love Asian people actually, and the women are also lovely, I think some people think there a week culture but I think there one of gods wonderful creations, n I believe mind n heart can over come lack of brutes any day not saying there aren't strong Asians because I know there are from experience, from a friend I made from scrapping as kids which we love one another today, I look at Asian people as people that can make us better also. wouldn't it suck if we were all the same?

I am from the US but I live in Japan now, before I always thought of Asians as short, smart and a little stinky. But now that I live here and have traveled around Asia, I have found them to be extremely smart, beautiful, patient and nice. But all I have met have been extremely stand-offish, lonely and never satisfied...I hope that was honest enough.

Among everyone I've known, Asians are viewed as really smart. I played the violin in my high school orchestra, and we were all like "We'll never be as good as the Asian kids!!" lol. And we also think Asians are superior at math and science.

Something that occurred to me is my race must have some Asian in us.
Why else are we called Caucasian?

I have no idea what the Cauc means, but doesn't the Asian mean Asian?
Personally, I have no problems with Asians or Orientals (or anyone).
I only have problems with trouble makers no matter their race.

I find the Korean and Japanese culture so fascinating. I'm trying not to generalize but they seem to be really good at art and hand eye coordination..at least the Asian people I've met.

There is a common belief that Asians can't drive very well. I don't know its just a stereotype I've heard others voice. My mom, for one believes that Asians really can't drive.

when i think asian i think smart. they are so driven to get good grades, at least the ones I know, that it seems they are smarter then everyone else. then you think how everything is made in china and how good electronics come from asia. then i think kung fu, because thats where martial arts came from. i think thats because of movies though. also there is a stereotype that asians are impatient and i know its not fact but i can't help but get that impression from a number of them that i help at the store i work at.
