It is possible that you could grow another inch or two in the next couple of years or this may be it. That's a very nice height for a girl.

Scientifically a person is growing until the age of 23. My mum is 5"9 and my dad was 5"12 and I am 6"3, genetically could influence in the growing but look at my case. I know quite a few cases like this.So don't worry.

If you haven't grown for a year, I'd say you are done getting taller. Yes, it has to do with genetics. Your mom is somewhat tall, but your dad isnt' terribly tall.
I looked up some height calculators and entered your information, and they gave me predictions from 5' 5 1/2" to 5' 6 1/2". So you might have another inch in you. Might not.

I'm not claiming to be a doctor, but just restating what I was told, females generally stop growing taller just after their first period. So, if you have it early (I got mine at 10) you will obviously end up shorter (I am five foot even). I have grown about a half an inch since the beginning of my periods (I am now almost 21). My mother also grew about three quarters of an inch after she got hers. The basic rule is, once you get your period, you're pretty much within an inch of where you will end up. Of course, there are always exceptions to every rule. Good luck, but, honestly, I think 5'5 is a pretty great height. Not too tall, not too short. Besides, I think most guys prefer short girls.

In my opinion, 5'5" is a great height for a girl (I'm only 5'1", so feel lucky!!).
But in response to your question, I think women generally stop growing (in height) around 17-18 (for men it's a little later). As far as genetics go, children tend to be taller than their parents, but of course it varies widely between individuals.

I'd say it has a lot to do with genetics. I stopped growing in height in late teens.
