you know sometimes people change their opinions about people just by their knowledge.

For example, if you know this person who is always moody so you just 'judge a book by its cover' and say they are unfriendly
But then you find out they are just shy so you change your whole opinion of them?

is that just human nature ...what do you call it?

If you want to look into this subject it is called impression formation and is studied in psychology. What you described above is called a mental schema, its basically a mental assosiation of characteristics. In your experience moodyness mean unfriendlyness. We build these schemas throughtout our whole lives, its is indeed part of human nature and results from our need in evolutionary terms to react quickly to a situation in order to stay alive.

Predisposition.

We use intuition constantly in normal thought and often this provides protection. For instance if we see a large bolder rocking on a hill above us...well intuitivly we will make decisions without all the details.

When we incorrectly impune characteristics to others this is called prejudice.

Although it may be natural to 'jump to conclusions' it is not always the best course.

Homo sapiens or the truly human: Homo sapiens sapiens. Or, Homo habilis was the first to begin the genus homo. It's arbitrary. In that Paulie Shore movie, they bring back a Cro-Magnon and he easily passes for modern human, and that's what this is about. You might consider a Neanderthal to be human enough if you met one now. Especially if you've ever met a Frenchman.

It is definitely human nature for most. Everyone should be open or try to and I think people would be surprised when you get to look at different layers of someone. Have a good night

Humans have the tendency to be judgmental and opinionated ,made worst by the desire to be as sure as possible within minimum time with whatever inputs available. That's where maturity comes in,to safe guard us.
