there to issues that stand out
one burning sugar doesn't result in huge amount of gases given of as oil and alcohol products do. yields wouldn't be high enough to drive the pistons at a quick enough rate. now if you used it to heat something (water) would do great as fuel that way. sugar burn completely and with more energy then nearly any other substance... it is the rocket fuel of the body after all.

maple syrup would require lots of maintenance to use as a fuel source. all the extras in it would create residue from incomplete burning, lot of by products in it from mother nature, though that's what gives it that great taste. best bet would be to run off of a glucose or polycose with a supply of pure O2 (not cheap system if u cant tell.)

overall system would run you between 25-30 dollars a mile for a simple steam engine powered by sugar on a wheeled platform.
so no if i bought a car it wouldn't run on cylinders and maple syrup.

I already bought a car. It runs on gasoline. I can buy gasoline for 1/16 of the price of maple syrup. Gasoline can be found in 20 gallon quantities quite easily. The ensuing maple syrup shortage would not get you out of the hockey section and back into the really stupid question section.

I'm pretty sure a combustion engine isn't designed to run on cinders and maple syrup.

Nah.

I'm no brain surgeon but they are called "cylinders" and the motors run on gasoline, diesel, seaweed, alcohol, hydrogen, chicken farts, pig crap, and downhill gravity.

Alright, sometime in my childhood I SWEAR there was like a limited time only MR. Buttersworth. My friends look at me like I'm crazy and tell me I'm ridiculous for being so adamant about it... BUT I KNOW THE TRUTH! HE EXISTED!
