1. the two images are, clearly, NOT the same. Easiest to spot is the eybrow, but some of the other lines also, do not match.

2. Still, they are, both, very nice looking eyes.

3. I have to point out the the crosshatching looks suspiciously like one of the Photoshop artistic filters, because each line of cross hatch ends in perfect alignment with adjacent ones.

4. Finally, I have to say, "So what?" to the fact that, at least, part of the image was created with a Photoshop shortcut. That is what they are there for. My only real concern would be if you were to claim that NO such filter was used, and that all parts of the image were created by hand.

But you wouldn't do that, would you?

You wouldn't because you KNOW that there are a LOT of experienced artists, who, really, KNOW Photoshop, on this forum.

Right?

I'm not following the logic of mother and sister. What's so hard about drawing an eye on the computer?

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I wasn't impressed with your drawing, but in all sincerity it really isn't that hard to draw. I'm guessing you're in the ninth grade, yes? Most artists have fairly developed skills by the time they're old enough to be in high school. In any case, if you have the right software, age is inconsequential.

Well they clearly aren't the same – the eyebrow, eyelid and lashes are the most obviously different.
That is not to say that it hasn't some talent behind it, however there is no software that can reproduce the delicacy and finesse of a pencil drawing without a lot more work, the filter is not the best way to achieve it – too mechanical; my point is that you have to work with what your software does best.

It's amazing what people can draw using just a mouse. I say you and those people that have that talent of drawing detailed pics on a computer are truely amazing. I can barely draw a decent circle even on paper with a pencil.
