Reds and pinks say bachelor to me. :)
Blue says more business.
Green says I make a lot of dough (haha).
The shirt should be stripped (like pink background with red pinstripes) and the tie a solid purhaps shiny red. :) That would look great!
The pinstripped shirt always looks very clean cut.
Hope my color translations help!

perhaps a good yellow not bright yellow and not too light for a shirt. And a White or cream color tie. or you might do the other way around the latter for shirt and the first for tie. You could go with the traditional white shirt and red or burgundy tie for black suit! When I see someone in a black suit: I think oh He/She couldn't decide on colour so went with black. Same thinking applies with white! Note I'm not really a fashion designer. I'm closer to an Interior Decorator but I'm not that either. I did store displays for Kmart, Chapples, Loblaws, Sears, Macleods. The Rock Hut. The Coop.

I'd go with a light blue solid textured long sleeved shirt. Tie should be of a dark two-tone color. I think the ladies like guys who look clean cut, calm and cool. The color blue does that and lures people in to you. Pleasing to the eyes.

Any color shirt would go with a black suit but I would suggest a deep blue shirt and tie with some design. Ditch the shiny look.

I would wear solid crisp white shirt with a dusky blue tie with a metallic feel or a rich dark red tie. No pattern on the tie unless it is in the fabric weave. Classic simple, elegant. You will look fantastic enjoy!

If it's solid black, go with classic white shirt+ black tie.
