I think they should have won it last year. If it wasn't for that cheap horry foul and stoud leaving the bench, I think they would have won it. Dallas, Spurs and Suns all have great chances to win it all! But the Spurs are getting old!

*chuckles*

with the suns' best duncan defender gone (and by this i mean someone who can hold duncan under 35pts), who's gonna guard duncan? amare? PUH-LEEZE!

just hope that san antonio meets dallas and that somehow the spurs don't overcome the mavs. but then they would have to worry about dallas who has beaten them in the '06 playoffs.

maybe phoenix should pray golden state reaches the playoffs and meet dallas in the first round again. but eliminating dallas in the first round would mean spurs would still be there come the third round. then maybe phoenix should hope for a houston-san antonio matchup and that the rockets win. still, what can phoenix do to stop yao?

with the emergence of the rockets, phoenix has been relegated to being the 4th best team out west. the earlier you accept it, the easier it will become.

but if they do manage to get out of the west and meet the celtics in the finals. i'll cheer for the suns. west is the best and any team that can run through that gauntlet have earned the right to be in the finals. mavs shouldn't have let the heat win no matter what.

I don't think they can make it out of the west. I think they are great, but they lost Thomas. Amare is amazing, but they won't have answers for say Duncan or other bigs. The bad thing is, if they don't make it this year, I think that might be it. Even if they keep their team, I think this is their last year of making it. I want the Spurs to repeat but I have a feeling Dallas may pull it together this year. The role players in Dallas are making things happen, so we'll see how they are at the all-star break. The suns need some more D. They'll do well this year, but the west is tough. Houston is actually looking good too. You got the Spurs, the Mavs, The Rockets, The Nuggets and even the Lakers to get past. I don't think they'll pull it off.

Hell yea there are the best team in the NBA right now. I love the Phoenix Suns there my favorite team I think they can win it all this year. They would have won it last year if it wasn't for the suspensions. Amare Stoudemire has got better defensively he had 6 blocks in the game vs Chicago.

YES! with a big IF, they can win but only IF their key players stay healthy and on the floor. many have said that phoenix is all offense and no defense and yet they still make the playoffs almost every year.

no, did you watch that chicago/phoenix game on tnt on thursday? that game alone tells you why phoenix will never win a championship. the defense isnt very good. they should have killed chicago, instead they let a large lead slip in like 5 minutes. and before you knew it, chicago was leading phoenix on the road, when chicago was playing horribly before. a 20 pt lead is not safe with the suns, good teams like the mavs and spurs can come back from that kind of deficit.

If they manage to get past the spurs, which they probably wont, KG and the celts will dominate them. I really dont think Phoenix are as good as everyone gives them credit for. Yes they've got nash amare and marion but they have no back up big man and barbosa is the only good guy of the bench. Diaw isnt playing well and hill will get injured.

They have to reach the finals first, and they're not doing that with the Texas Trio around - Houston, San Antonio and Dallas.

the Suns are a good team, but they play outta the West which has several different "good" teams. i don't see them winning a championship in the near future, but stranger things have happened.

no because amare is struggling thus far. They got rid of kurt thomas. They signed grant hill who still has a really high chance of being injured. They rely way to much on shooting. And their defense is now worse. So no.
