well, i do agree. self control can be pretty hard to practice. yes, there are many positives to getting a handle on personal issues that eat you apart. let's face, a lot of people put off things to tomorrow and most of the time they never get done. so yeah, it is better for the future. but,i've learned even with time there will always be some demons that will never leave you alone. i guess, i just stopped caring about fighting them.

False.

There are many things that are more difficult to learn than self control. Such as learning to let go and relax to enjoy an experience without judging it.

Self control is not easy to learn, but parents would do well to start their children on this journey early. I had parents who insisted on reasonable self control for my age as I grew up. Thanks to that I understand that there are consequences for every action. This simple knowledge allows me to control myself by knowing what will happen if I don't.

Self control is not about refusing to eat one doughnut because it isnt the best breakfast in the world even though you really want one. It is not eating doughnuts every morning. It isn't refusing to be attracted to a beautiful member of the sex you prefer; it is not flirting with said person because you are in a committed relationship.

Most people really don't have a huge problem with reasonable self control. They may be tempted, but if they were really truly faced with the decision, most folks would exhibit control and refrain. If that many of us are getting it right, it can't be that hard.

I agree that it is a hard thing to learn. I am not so good at it, in case you hadn't noticed. lol
I think it's okay to not always have self control, but to know when it's best to practice it. Sometimes, it is good not to have too much of it. Other times, it is the wisest choice and hard to do.
