is it really going to hit the earth?

If every "Comet hitting the Earth" prediction came true, life as we know it would have ceased a long time ago.
Comets are very small, the Earth is very small. Space is very big. So there is a lot of room to move out there in orbit.
The chances of anything large hitting us are very, very small.

This comet wont hit the earth, and it has been here when Edwin Holmes discovered it on November 6, 1892.
Also then, it went through outbursts as the solar heat hit the comet causing it to produce flaring as we are witnessing now again.
It is a periodical comet which means we can depend on it to keep coming back in or around 100 year intervals.
The comets orbit is harmless to earths orbit unless one decides to listen to astrologists rather then astronomers.
Astrologists get their ideas from imagination rather then science or common sense.
You can find many answers just by reading and searching things out rather then being tossed to and fro by what just anyone says.

No, it won't hit the earth. This comet's orbit currently doesn't bring it closer than ~2x the distance from sun-to-earth, so it can't hit the earth unless the orbit gets changed a LOT. It's orbit around the sun takes about 7 years.

At it's farthest from the sun, it is close to Jupiter. "Close" encounters with Jupiter do change the orbit somewhat. It has been computed that it's next "close" approach to Jupiter is in 2051, and it will actually pull the comet farther away from earth.

No. Like all the Other's, it's just "passing through..."- our Solar System... :)
