The Wild were flat tonight plain and simple. And for once the Canucks played a good home game while getting some input from a few guys who have done almost zero so far this year (Naslund would top that list).
I can agree with people who don't like how their team plays and disses them. It's your right as a fan. I do however think that blaming a loss in whole or in part on the officiating shows a lack of hockey knowledge, class and a general immature nature. You'll gain no sympathies from most people here if you spend your time whining about the referees. Your answer comes off as purely biased conjecture. Stick to the demonstrable facts.

There were two hockey teams on the ice and while Minnesota didn't exactly play its best game, I think it was more a matter of the Canucks playing very well (and the Wild were tired at the end of their road trip)
Way to go 'Nucks! (They deserved six goals against Edmonton but couldn't catch a break. Luck evens out over time)
As far as officiating goes, the Canucks have been the most penalized team so far (or at least they were a short while ago, not sure about right this minute) but they are NOT a goon team and in my opinion have had bad luck when it comes to that too. But like puck luck, officiating balances out in the end and it isn't good for anyone to blame the referees.
Hockey is a very difficult sport to referee and while the officials do their best, there is always going to be some missed calls or some contraversy there.

The Wild had the easiest schedule to start the season and I think it ran expectations a little high for this team. they are NOT an elite team in the Western Conference (see Detroit, and despite slow starts, San Jose and Anaheim), and will have to compete for a late playoff spot.
Minnesota fans may think this loss is unacceptable. My advice is to temper your expectations for the Wild.

Not only was the Wild's play unacceptable, the officiating was absolutely disgusting! How many times were Wild players high-sticked in the face, hooked, tripped, etc. while the officials ignored it... yet if one of the Wild players even said something about it, they got a penalty? Can we say corrupt or bribed officials, anyone?

Unacceptable indeed.
You know its bad when you let in 4 first period goals and your offense comes from a former 8th round pick who has only played 3 total games this year, not to mention his entire NHL career. Who are you Aaron Voros?
*Zap - You're right. I formally apologize to all his NHL fans and his previous fans watching him at Alaska-Fairbanks. I'll even go as far as apologizing to his fans when he was at Victoria Salsa!
