Perfection is a subjective state of time (at least it is with relation to actions). Assuming a definition of perfection to be "something without flaw" then you must define what is meant by "flaw" and there in lies the problem. What you find to be a flaw may well be what I consider to be an accomplishment. So when I practice I am attempting to achieve my own perfection. Although someone may not find me perfect, I can find myself so.

the word practice in your first premise is different from the second one. You are equivocating.

practice makes perfect - a ballet dancer practices to make her routine perfect.

No one is perfect - nobody is perfect like we are less than the Creator...

so these two words are different and we cannot join them together to create a conclusion.

Yes, no one is perfect, however, practicing will make one better at what one want or needs to do.

The saying does not state that the person practicing will be perfect, therefore the two statements do not contradict.

hahaha, this is a conceptual confusion that stems from language ambiguity. the solution is very simple. clarify language and we wont have to go to great lengths of celiberating over this question.

1st. "practice makes perfect" and "no one is perfect" are twoi statements which use the same word, "perfect". but the word is not used in the same sense.

2nd. practice makes perfect means, you can perfect the established standard of a given, say, art. but "no one is perfect means" no individual is "faultless" in all aspect of his humanity, of his being and of his essence.

3rd. a case in point: one may have perfected the art of "technical" singing but it does not make him perfect? hahaha. he is a perfect techinical singer but perfection in that field is not translatable to perfection of his humanity, essence or being etc. - that perfect technical singer, for all we know, is a horrible dancer.
simplistic example but more or less highlights the ambiguity of language that casues conceptual confusion in the aforementioned question raised above.

People can become the perfect in certain skills. Certain singers are the perfect singers for themselves: Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houstin, Aguilera etc....They create their own perfection, but first need basic skills to build upon.

No person is perfect, but their is perfection in humans.

Life continues, because there is a something called a "HOPE". A doctor works to save a life. Hope keeps human being to live day to day. He/she goes to chemo treatments, hoping that he/she will survive, he/she volunteer to the society, hoping that things will get better and he/she practice swimming, hoping to learn swim. Get the message (Hint: The message really does not mean, one is going to be perfect! but will get better, hopefully!) An inspirational message attached to it, how you interpret is your business. Everything is relative!

It's saying that "practice makes perfect" which means what you DO is perfect. But no PERSON is perfect. In order to be perfect... well, let's not even go there. That's a long list lol.

Or... that doesn't make sense what I just wrote, does it lmao. I dunno. INTERESTING QUESTION!! lol
