Aside from The Beatles and perhaps Queen, there is nothing eclectic about this list at all but rather it's all a bunch of mainstream garbage.

Jesus. People are really snobby when it comes to music. You are eclectic. You've got a wide range of R&B, rock, hip-hop, rap, folk, indie, and yeah... (oh no!) pop.

I enjoy pretty much all the artists on your list. And they all make music in a different way. What I learned in my taste in music is that I am my own genre. I don't really fall into any category. And it doesn't seem you specifically do either. I just wanted to say that you seem pretty open minded and tasteful in your music selection. So cool! Its so ridiculous when people write comments just to be negative about your taste.

Because of your highly diverse list, you cannot classify any of this music like they do in the music department of your local Best Buy. Almost every artist on that list has had a song appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Essentially, that makes it all 'pop' (popular) music. None of it is very eclectic or very musically challenging so when others tell you that some of the list is 'alternative' or 'indie', they are using the terms invented by the record companies to sell you more music. Diverse yes, challenging no.

Definitely mainstream
There are many different genres in there (from rock, pop-rock, r'n'b, rap, pop) but generally they're all stuff that is/was found in the Top 40

Please take Queen and The Beatles off that list, they aren't like anyone else on it!

Edit; Better yet take everyone else OFF that list except Queen and The Beatles and then I could categorize as classic rock.

no, you're mistaken. it's simply pop music. just about all of those artists are on the radio. i'd call you a sheep. you listen to what they play and just waste the day away....
