Or is it just me? I've NEVER said LOL in my life and in fact never intend to do so. It just annoys the hell out of me. And people write it about things that aren't even slightly funny, let alone laugh out loud funny. What's even worse, is when people actually SAY LOL. I mean, why don't you just actaully LAUGH OUT LOUD instead of saying that your going to? It makes no sense

Anyways, that's my little rant for the day

No, I say that often. It's computer lingo for "laughing out loud". If we are on here conversing and you cannot actually hear me how will you know that I'm laughing unless I tell you (hint...lol)?! Lol! Just relax. We could be saying STFU (Shut the f**k up) Lmao! (This means I think I am VERY funny...lol!) See, I've said it already 3 x's and I can't stop. What can I say, I'm a happy person! :o)

no, cause I only write lol when I actually laugh out loud. that's the idea. it's to let people know what ever was said is so funny you laughed out loud.

Why would people want to right the whole thing "laugh out loud". I write LOL so that I don't sound to serious. lol. also its a habit.

i say LOL all the time
not in real life, just over the internet

i think its stupid if one of ur friends made a joke when ur somewhere w/ them and u just say "LOL" instead of laughing...
i think putting LOL over the internet is better than saying "HAHAHAHA" cuz if u just say nothin then ur basically tellin whoever ur talkin to, that theyre not funny

I really don't mind it when it's written... LOL :P

But I see what you mean about it being said - it's kinda artificial but I guess this is the culture of today's young ones.

No, it doesn't bother me at all. I like for people to express themselves with joy. There is nothing wrong with you, you are just a perfectionist that likes to read proper English writing.
