personally I'd back the shark because if they met I'd be in deep water so the shark would use a sneak attack and bite with 1000 or more pounds of force per square inch and then let go and allow the croc to tire itself out. The shark also has a 6th sense which allows it to pick up electromagnetic pulses sent out when any living thing moves, so even in murky water it would still have an advantage. If the croc could catch the shark it would be able to hold it and death roll and that would probably injure the shark. So it could be either one, but i think the shark would win but only if it was a great white or tiger shark. A sharks bite would be very painful after the shock and you would lose a lot of blood (most people think sharks go after human blood but they actually prefer the blood and juices of sea creatures like squid). It would be very painful and deep.

It depends on the type of shark. A sharks bite can be deadly, of course. The amount of pain is probably minimal at first, due to shock. Probably a bit of stinging.
Between a shark and a crocodile, I'd be willing to bet a shark would win in most cases, although there are some small and/or tame sharks out there.

Believe it or not, but sharks have many rows of teeth. Their teeth are razor sharp and have jagged edges. The shark has about 200 to 300 more pounds of pressure than an crocodile. The crocodile's teeth are more like a pit bull's and they only have one row of teeth. The pain would last much longer with a crocodile than a shark.

It depends on the type and size of the shark as well as it's intention. I was bitten by a 5ft nurse shark while it was feeding, but it didn't hurt very much. She realized that I wasn't food and spat my hand out pretty quickly.
Most shark bites are simply investigatory. Remember, they don't have hands so, just like a baby, they feel things with their mouth. If a shark wanted to eat you, it could, but you don't taste like fish. so they don't think of you as food.
The thing to remember is to never pull away. That's how your flesh is torn into long strings of spaghetti.

Crocs hold , submerge, and drown their prey. So you would be crushed then drowned. Sharks take large chunks of flesh from sneak attacks, release and wait for the prey to die from blood loss. Crocs have peg like teeth for gripping. Sharks teeth are like serrated steak knives. Both exert 1000's of pounds of pressure per square inch. As far as pain, you would go into shock almost immediately and would experience little excruciating pain. Mostly the physiological realization of you impending doom.
