Good for you! May you go in Peace!
I have been to several of the poorest countries in Africa and I can tell you that clothes (t shirts , hats, pants, shoes) would be most appreciated. After that take a few soccer balls if you can or some smaller balls. It won't matter if they are boys or girls they will love what you take. Small candies are also very nice to take. Don't forget something for the caregivers at the orphanage chances are they are working for $20 a month or even less if they eat there. I mention this because otherwise they could become jealous of the children...it sounds harsh because it is for them. You will find that these are people who are hungry all the time.

Well, if these children have nothing, then I'm sure they would really love anything they got. I'm sure clothing, toys, and books would be greatly loved. Just going there to help out these children is probably the best gift they could ever get! I wish there would be more giving people during the holidays or any time of the year. Good for you and god bless!

Oh my goodness. I hope karma exists when I hear about people like you. :-)
I would call the orphanage and find out what the greatest needs are. In some cases, they prefer that you give gifts to the institution rather than individual children, so they can distribute them. Possible gifts include toiletries, games, art supplies, books, and chocolate!

Anything is good! These kids have nothing so getting anything will be great! I really want to thank you for doing what you are doing! Try getting some dental items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste. Coloring books, underware, shampoo, soap, socks, harmonicas, flip flops.. anything really.
You can also spread the word of TomsShoes. They donate a pair of shoes to a child for every pair of shoes that is purchased. www.tomsshoes.com

actual, this time of year fairly fairly makes you think of roughly issues like that. the different day i replaced into listening to communicate radio and that that they had a phase saying how they get letters to Santa from babies yet quite of soliciting for the ordinary issues like toys, those young babies are soliciting for a heat coat or nutrition or for his or her mothers and dads to locate jobs. fairly made me savour each and every thing I even have. we are all so fortunate to have even a roof over our heads and nutrition on the table no longer to show each and every thing else. whilst getting delivers are great, giving back is is even greater advantageous, and because Christmas is on the subject of the spirit of giving my family contributors and that i continually be sure you donate to the greater advantageous Boston nutrition financial corporation this time of year.

Call habitat for humanity, they can advise you what to do.
Possibly paper and crayons, pencils, chalk. Personal items, like flip flops, hair ribbons, mild hand soap.
