Bushies:Why do you often try to defend our having private armies in Iraq (Blackwater) when they cost 10x more?

They are paid TEN TIMES more than what the troops get paid, have NO ACCOUNTABLITY when it comes to rules and laws, and the cost of this "army" DIVERTS much needed sources from the REAL troops who are coming home injured, maimed, traumatized! More are ending up HOMELESS and at a faster rate than during Vietnam! Will Bushies/"fiscal conservative"/Blackwater cheerleaders please have the decency to put your money where your mouths are and take the tab on this outrageous waste of our hard-earned tax dollars?

So if you have soldiers who are controlled by a private company and not your government, what happens if someone outbids and hires the private company to wage war against your own people?

After all, with a private company it's only the profits that matter. Sounds like a recipe for a disaster.

What exactly does Black Water have to do with the US Military ?

The Military didn't hire them.

Black Water works for the State Department.

They were hired to augument the State Departments Diplomatic Security Service.

Who already get paid alot more than the normal soldier does.

So what private Army ? Black Water certainly is not a private Army.

If you canceled the Black Water contract, then the State Department, would just end up having to hire the exact same people, into the State Departments Diplomatic Security Service to provide security for diplomatic personal.

Except then, they would be permanent government employees, that after Iraq, we would no longer need.

Get your facts straight, before making wild baseless accusations.

Blackwater is a security firm, using them frees up soldiers to do more important missions. And do recall that every dollar spent has to get the approval of Congress. So why are you blaming Bush for the problem. The Dem controlled Congress can pull the plug anytime it wants.

They are there to provide security. This allows the troops to go out and do their jobs without having to worry about their base being blown the hell up.

As for the cost, well, its about what I woud have expected for a firm like that. I can tell you this, I wish they would reverse the rolls. Put the troops in charge of security and let Blackwater go out and hunt down the bad guys.

because liberals wont even think about reinstating the draft............the military uses Blackwater to fill the gap and to do the dirty work that CNN would crucify the military for.
