i mean pc had Dell, Hp, Compaq, eMachines Ect ect who makes apple computer just them ?and why
also i tought apple was "user friendly" why are they so uptight with their phones i mean most people bought them some for 600$ some for 400$ you still GOT YOUR MONEY now let me fuc! with MY PHONE

Apple only makes Apple computers because the brand of the company is Apple, so if they made one with a different brand, it wouldn't be Apple.

Apple makes Macs because Steve insists they they design the whole widget from the ground up including the OS in order to have better control over the whole package.
Apple has always been a company that just wanted to make great hardware - according to Steve. Guess what...it works.
iPod, iPhone, iMac, MacPro, Leopard etc.
HP and all the rest just make hardware and license Windows from Microsoft because HP and the rest don't write the OS and Microsoft doesn't build PCs.
Its not that Macs are "not" user friendly, its more that PC users try to treat them like PCs and don't get very far in the process.
Its known as PEBKAC.

PC means Personal computer
Apple is just a brand that uses a different operating system than a dell hp etc. they are still a pc
Now ask what is a linux based PC, same exact thing, different OS.

The fact that you're comparing a Windows-based computer that has many manufacturers to a MAC-based computer that a single manucaturer says it all.
Once again you said it...people bought them for $600. And in general they ARE user friendly, especially if you've never used a computer before. Many people prefer Macs for one reason or another, whether that is the ease of use or the protection from MOST viruses.

The reason why no other company makes a MAC is because it is trademarked through apple. Apple never gave out the patent and therefore does not allow other companies to manufacture or sell a MAC.

IBM thought they'd make more money letting others make knockoffs or similar computers (good thing, as they were terrible at making PCs). Apple decided to keep that operation in house.
